Families may apply for all programs. Depending on availability, your child may be enrolled immediately or added to the waitlist.

Waitlist Priority
Within each age group, the applications are prioritized in this order:- Sibling families
- IU Indianapolis employees, students, faculty
- IU Health employees
- General public
Within each priority group, applications are ordered by the date the paid application is received. Children on the waitlist automatically move to the next age group as they have birthdays.
Application Fee
The IU Indianapolis Center for Young Children charges a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $50 per child. This fee helps cover the cost of processing applications and maintaining the waitlist.
Your child will not be placed on the waitlist until the application fee has been paid.Applications remain active for one year from the date of submission. After one year, families may reapply for a non-refundable renewal fee of $25 per child.
